TENDEA FAMILY PROGRAMS

CADET PROGRAM

Youth Internship program that pays youth between the ages of 10-18, living in the McElderry Park neighborhood, $50 to intern with Tendea Family. They get hands-on training with leadership, speaking and grassroots organizing.

COMMUNITY CLEANUP & GIVEAWAY

Organizers engage with community members by giving out FREE clothes, food and resources that they may need. Together, organizers and community members clean the neighborhood, mediate conflict and network with everyone that comes out.

THE DRAWING BOARD

This program is a solution-oriented forum that allows residents of Baltimore City to participate in a discussion assessing the needs of the community and the ways to go about solving them.

THE SISTERS DINNER

A sacred space for black women to come together, share their story, connect with other ladies and grow as women. Throughout the year, there are trips, photoshoots and presenters that focus on different aspects of womanhood that can be beneificial to every wo

MAN TO MAN

A safe space for black men to come together, share their story, connect with other guys and grow as men. Throughout the year there are trainings and presenters that focus on different aspects of manhood that benefit every black that participates.

COMMUNITY PATROLS

The men in Tendea have been a positive male presence and protection for youth and community. Ensuring the safety of students leaving school at Tench Tilghman Elementary/Middle School and around McElderry Park Community. Working to create a better and safer future for the community.
