After School Patrols

Since November 8, 2023,
The men in Tendea have been a positive male presence and protection for youth and community. Ensuring the safety of students leaving school at Tench Tilghman Elementary/Middle School and around McElderry Park Community. Working to create a better and safer future for the community.

The men in Tendea also have Street Survey programs weekly, including the:

  • Donuts & Hot Chocolate Giveaways

  • Smoothie Giveaways

  • Candy and Water Giveaways

  • Clothes Giveaways

  • Street Surveys (Getting Surveys and what the community needs are)

DFDDH (Drug-Free Down Da Hill) Campaign

The program is aimed at reducing public drug use in the Mcelderry Park Community through neighborhood watch style patrols to discourage open drug use while connecting those suffering from addiction to recovery places, job training and housing.

The patrols also include weekly Community Cleanups, Free Haircuts, Grocery Giveaways, Smoothie Giveaways, Resources and relationship building.
